A healthy reminder
We are in the midst of cold and flu season and we want to remind you of best practices to keep our students and staff healthy:
- The hand washing procedures we teach in school remain the best way to prevent the spread of any illness. Students are given time throughout the day to wash their hands.
- Cover your cough: Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or cough into your sleeve.
- To prevent spread of influenza, annual vaccination is recommended.
- If your student feels ill, they should stay home from school. Each school has an attendance line to report absences.

Hear about research into adolescent sleep patterns
Eden Prairie Schools invited Dr. Conrad Iber of the University of Minnesota to present earlier this month at a community session around school start and end times. Dr. Iber is a well-known expert in sleep medicine, and he volunteered his time to share data and insights on the science of sleep and the impact on adolescents. We recorded Dr. Iber's presentation and have posted it, along with other information about the district’s school start/end time study at
