From Superintendent Josh Swanson:

Please join me in thanking our teachers during National Teacher Appreciation Week. I’d like to encourage you to send a note of thanks directly to a teacher you know. Students can also send notes of appreciation. You can use our staff directory to easily find email addresses . During this time when we cannot be together in person to express our appreciation, the short time it takes to write a heartfelt message is so appreciated. Parents and guardians, I also want to thank you for the support you’ve shown for our schools and community during this time. We have all been learning together and the commitment to each other is what makes Eden Prairie a special place. I appreciate your help in honoring the hard work and commitment of our teachers this week.

FastBridge Reading and Math Assessments Planned
Students in K - 6 will be assessed in reading and math using a tool called FastBridge. While other formal assessments have been cancelled, Eden Prairie Schools is proceeding with FastBridge so that teachers can use the data to plan instruction for next fall. Distance learning has been a new process for all of us, so we need to start the next school year with good and recent information about your student’s learning. Parents will receive more information from teachers soon.
