Children with disruptive behaviors and/or communication challenges can be much more difficult to parent.

Over time you may feel that your current parenting style has become less effective and feel unable to manage your child's behavior. Kids react to parents, parents react to kids, and over time both create more coercive behaviors toward each other. Because of the continuing struggle, as a parent you may lower your expectations and/or stop paying attention.

Parent training works to make corrections now. It helps to stabilize the home situation and prepares your child for a successful peer interactions too. This training provides proactive strategies that you can take home and use immediately as well as provide a better understanding as to why these power struggles occur.

With training, you will learn how to interact with your children without power struggles. Learn how to reward appropriate behaviors, and create expectations that shift the pattern.
