We are bringing Hawaii to TEMS at the April 29th Parent Social. Get those Hawaiian shirts ready to Luau on over for a casual evening of food, cocktails, and fun! 
Do you own a company or service you can donate to the silent auction? Join local businesses who have donated to help raise funds for the PTO. La Cabra, Tiramisu Cocina Romana, EatNic, Margaret Kuo's are just some of the restaurants that have made generous donations to our Silent Auction. The PTO is looking for volunteers to fill positions for the 2017-2018 school year.  This is a wonderful opportunity to become involved at TEMS and there is something to fit everyone's schedule.  Please consider volunteering your time and talents.  Below is a list of some of the open positions for next year.  Any questions about the positions or if you would like to volunteer, please contact Michelle Barton  michellelynnbarton@gmail.com

We have 2 big events coming up to show our thanks to our wonderful teachers.  
Teacher Appreciation Day is Tuesday, May 9 and the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon will be June 20th.  We will need lots of help so if you are interested in joining the hospitality committee,  and providing something,  please email Midy Sorber at minsorber21@hotmail.com.

TEMS Handel's Spirit Day....handels ice cream 1
Wed May 17th is our annual TEMS Handel's  Spirit Day!
Handel's will donate a portion of the sales made between 2:30-5:30pm that day (when voucher is presented).  Students are invited to walk to Handel's after school on Wednesday.  Parents will be positioned along the route. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer, please contact Allison Hayden at luvmygiants@verizon.net.

Attention 8th Grade Parents...
In preparation for the 8th grade Recognition Ceremony we are looking to collect pictures from all of the current 8th graders. We are looking for a baby picture and a current picture of each student. Please submit a hard copy, 2"x3" in size, to school office to "Attention of Sherri Gartner."   
We will be having our first  meeting for the  8th Grade Recognition Committee is Tuesday April 18 , 6:00PM at the Starbucks in Paoli. Anyone who is interested in helping with the ceremony is welcome to attend. We will be looking for "chair persons" for different areas at this meeting. TEMS Yearbooks are still Available for Order-
Only a short amount of time left to order your 2016-2017 yearbook! Orders will be taken through May 5th, 2017. Cost is $30. To reserve your copy, go  to jostens.com
 or see Mrs. Matilla in Room 204 (Only checks made payable to TEMS will be accepted for in school orders).

Green Initiative-
For the Month of April - TEMS will be collecting Used CRAYONS (all brands, shapes & sizes).
A collection box will be located in the front entrance lobby.  The crayons will be sent to a facility where they will be melted & created into new crayons.

Friday, April 21st - TEMS is Celebrating Earth Day with a Waste Free Lunch Day
Goal: to Reduce the amount of trash produced 
How: by using a reusable lunchbox, reusable sandwich & snack bags, reusable water bottle, reusable utensils & cloth napkin
Recycle: all bottles, cans & plastics
Why: to Reduce the need for Landfills, conserve natural resources, prevent pollution, save energy
