Purpose of Support Group:

The coronavirus pandemic has caused everyone’s lives to change and led to many different emotions. There is also great uncertainty as to how long the pandemic will last and if and when important parts of life can resume.

These support groups will provide an opportunity for parents to have space for all of their feelings to be expressed and validated and supported. Topics to be discussed and explored include the stress and sometimes tension with children and teens around pandemic restrictions, deciding if and when to see family and friends and the uncertainty of the future including vaccines, reopenings and what summer and fall will look like.
Participants will also learn tools to both cope and manage difficult emotions and experiences as well as learn ways to promote resiliency, emotional wellbeing as well as to decrease anxiety, depression and stress.
