Hello Parents & Families,

We are back in full swing at LA this week after a long and restful break.

Just a reminder: This is an On Campus Weekend at LA (and all boarding students must remain on campus) . We have plenty of fun choices and activities planned for all.

Day students are welcome to join in on the festivities!

News & Notes...

  • Lawrence Academy presents "There Always, Something Sings", Thursday, January 17, 6:30 PM in the Conant Gallery in the Richardson-Mees Performing Arts Center (RMPAC). The event is free and open to the public.
  • Art Opening, January 18 in the Conant Gallery at 6:00 PM; join us as LA presents ReConfigured, sculpture by Michael Alfano, with live music and refreshments. The exhibition is on display until March 13.
  • PA Meeting January 22 at 6:30 PM in the Media Conference Center (MCC); volunteer updates and comments from LA Head of School, Dan Scheibe
  • PA Program: Saturday February 9 at 10:30 AM in the MCC; learn about Academic and Student life at LA with Assistant Head of School for Academic Life, Jamie Baker, and Assistant Head of School for Student Life, Libby Margraf.
  • Senior Community Service Hours: Verification of this year’s (or any past-owed) community service hours for students in the class of 2019 are due by February 23.
  • Save the Date: Parents’ Association Spring Social May 4. For more information, please see the attached letter or contact Noreen Britt (Clayton '19), Sheri Beran (Camerson '19, Megan '20).
  • Volunteer trip for women in the LA community to "Give Kids The World Village" in central Florida, June 18-25; Please see the attached for more info. The deadline to express interest is January 18.
