Parenting Now!'s collaborations make it possible for us to reach families in ways we never could on our own! The most recent example of this is our new resources website (
resources.parentingnow.org). For more than 30 years, Parenting Now!, in collaboration with the Eugene Active 20-30 Club and Head Start of Lane County, has printed and distributed the Resources for Families poster containing comprehensive and accurate contact information for the many resources available to families in Lane County.
You've probably seen the poster around town in medical offices, schools, and many other places. It's also distributed in the materials that hospitals and birth centers send home with new parents - in fact, that's how I heard about Birth To Three when I was a new parent. But now, in collaboration with LaneKids and the Early Childhood Alliance, we have a wonderful new option: a searchable online database to complement and expand the poster offerings. Created in partnership with And Update My Website, the site offers descriptions of service providers, along with clickable websites and phone numbers, for everything from Adoption and Anger Management to Special Needs and Substance Abuse Recovery. With translation assistance from Head Start of Lane County, the site is offered in Spanish and English.
Thanks to our collaborators, we are able to provide both the poster and the website to families on the go. Together, we are working to ensure that every child is raised by a nurturing, skilled parent! Thank you!
