Dear Stallion Families,

Many thanks to all of the students and families who participated in the Women's History Museum. It was wonderful seeing all of the costumes and presentations! We also want to thank everyone who donated books for our San Miguel Book Exchange. Our students were excited to swap out their gently used books for new books that they can read over the break.

Spring is definitely in the air and our little ones are excited for the upcoming break. This is an excellent time to remind students to be on their best behavior at school. Students are expected to be at school on time, every day this week. We have several fun experiences planned to help them stay engaged in learning, including an all school "Free Dress" spirit day on Tuesday. Please continue to check our San Miguel website and calendar for daily updates.

Also, in an effort to go paperless, our district regularly shares updates and important communications via email. Our goal is to have updated email addresses for all of our families to ensure the most accurate and efficient communication possible. If you know of anyone who is not currently receiving our weekly newsletters, please have them update their contact information with Mrs. Harvell in our front office. For your convenience, a ttached is the most recent communication from our Lemon Grove School District office.

Lastly, as a Leader In Me school, it is not uncommon for our students to take on leadership roles on campus. This week, a group of our students are "Synergizing" to create a Somali Heritage Night on Thursday, from 5:00-6:00 PM in the San Miguel auditorium. This is a completely student-led event and offers a great opportunity for us to learn more about the cultures of the students we serve. We hope to see you there!

Most Sincerely,
Mrs. Richmond
