Dear Stallion Families,
This is the time of year when we solicit your input regarding our programs, services and school climate. As a valuable member of our school community, your opinion matters. Please be on the lookout for two surveys that are going home with your student. One is an online survey and the other is a paper survey.
The first survey is the California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS). It is an anonymous, voluntary survey to gather information on how to guide our efforts to promote safety, enhance learning supports and improve student achievement. It is administered at school to students at grades five, seven, nine, and eleven and online to parents in our school community. This survey enables the school and district to collect and analyze data regarding local youth health risks and behaviors, school connectedness, school climate, protective factors, and school violence. The CHKS is part of a comprehensive data-driven decision-making process on improving school climate and student learning environment for overall school improvements. A flyer went home with your student(s) last week with more information. To participate, please click the link below or access the URL at surveys.wested.org/csps/PR943FY. This survey must be completed by March 1st.
The second survey is our San Miguel Needs Assessment Survey. It is a paper survey that will be sent home with your student(s) on Wednesday and must be returned to your child's teacher no later than February 8th. This survey helps us to understand your perception of our school climate, programs and services to ensure we are best meeting the needs of our students and families. Any student returning this survey by the February 8th deadline will receive a free dress pass.
Thank you so much for your support. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Should you have any questions, please contact the San Miguel front office.
Kindly,
Mrs. Richmond
