Dear San Miguel Families,

As we conclude Kindness Matters Week, I am proud of the way our students rose to the challenge of demonstrating random acts of kindness throughout the week. We hope you will join us in continuing this theme next week and beyond. We can model kindness for our students by patiently and consistently observing the traffic signs in our parking lots and along the curbs. By exhibiting safe and courteous behavior, we show our students that we care about them and our school community.

Our Student Council will be continuing the kindness theme by selling Friendship Grams beginning Tuesday, February 5th. Student leaders will sell Friendship Grams before school on the blacktop (weather permitting) and after dismissal in front of the school for $1 each. Sales will conclude February 12th and the Friendship Grams will be delivered to students on February 14th.

Lastly, I invite you to join me this Friday for our monthly Coffee with the Principal. This is a great opportunity to hear all of the wonderful things that are happening at San Miguel and for you to provide your input regarding our school safety and culture. You can also give your feedback and suggestions using the two parent surveys that were sent home last week. All surveys can also be found on our school website and completed online for your convenience. Should you have any questions or need additional support, please don’t hesitate to contact our front office.

Kindly,
Mrs. Richmond
