Stallion Quote of the Week

“Life is about using the whole box of crayons.”

Message from your Principal
Dear Stallion Families,

We want to wish our 6th grade leaders safe travels as they embark on their journey to Camp Cuyamaca. Our stallions will have a wonderful time of team building, exploration and learning together. Parents, please remember to label your student’s belongings with their name and school. Buses depart promptly at 8:30 a.m., so please arrive to school on time.

This week our second grade students will begin participating in ballet classes. We are proud to partner with the San Diego Civic Youth Ballet to provide this unique opportunity for our students. This is just one of the ways we fulfill the San Miguel Mission vision of helping students gain an appreciation of the arts.

Friday, we invite you to join us for “Coffee with the Principal” in the auditorium, at 8:15 a.m.. This is a great opportunity to learn more about our instructional programs and get your questions answered in an informal setting.

PTA is also hosting “Lunch on the Lawn” this Friday, September 13th. Join your student at their regularly scheduled lunch time for a picnic-style lunch on the lawn. Each lunch lasts 20-30 minutes, so please be on time. If you would like to purchase a school lunch, kindly bring $3.50 cash per person and be sure to return the lunch RSVP to your child’s teacher by Wednesday. You may also bring a healthy lunch from home, but please no fast food or sugary drinks.  Should you have questions regarding approved food items, the LGSD Wellness policy can be found on our school or district websites. The PTA will be accepting t-shirt orders and PTA membership fees during the event. Lunch times details are listed on the flyers and are attached below.

Thank you for your continued support as we seek to provide engaging activities that increase daily attendance and community involvement. We are thrilled to be your partners in learning.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Mrs. Richmond
