Parents' Weekend and Tau Trustee Reunion Features Tau Man of the Year Celebration
Tau Chapter alumni, Kappa Sigma parents, actives, and pledges gathered November 13 to honor Loren Singletary '67 as Kappa Sigma Tau Man of the Year. Recently retired after a distinguished 45-year career as an executive in the Oil & Gas Industry, he has also been a leader in many charitable non-profit organizations, including former Chairman of the Texas Golf Hall of Fame.

Tau brother and former business partner Wade Kilpatrick '69 introduced Loren at the Saturday celebration held at the Kappa Sigma Lodge. "Loren exemplifies the historical characteristics of Tau Men," said Wade. "He's fiercely competitive, independent, suspicious of authority, high energy, curious, innovative, and extraordinarily loyal --all characteristics of leadership and entrepreneurship."

Loren has served TKSEF in various roles over the years, including President of the Foundation in the late '80s and early '90s, and currently as Assistant Vice President of the Corporation and Vice-Chair of the Tau Trustees Committee.

"His positive can-do spirit, exceptional leadership, commitment to the highest standards of excellence and integrity, and devotion to his Kappa Sig brothers are qualities every Tau initiate should strive for. This honor is well deserved!"
