April 2026

A WORD FROM THE DIRECTOR GENERAL

Dear Parents / Legal Guardians,

Spring is just around the corner, and… just as April’s weather brings us significant fluctuations, our children are also going through their own emotional ups and downs.

Between the accumulated fatigue of the first seven months of the year and the pressure many put on themselves for the last three (when we remind them not to give up, to redouble their efforts, and to stay the course), it’s normal for their motivation and commitment to fluctuate sometimes as quickly as Mother Nature’s mood.

We all want our children to succeed, but since success is above all about knowing oneself, discovering oneself, and knowing how to adapt and evolve in a world that is changing around us, let us all remain steadfast in the support we offer them, in our encouragement, and in our ability to accept sometimes their mistakes…and sometimes their choices that don’t always align with our own.

Our children are resilient. They will adapt if we remain present, caring, consistent, and confident by their side.

Happy spring to all!

Annie Lamarre

Director General

GUIDES FOR PARENTS - PREPARATION FOR MINISTERIAL EXAMS

The guides provide parents with information on the structure and format of the assessments mandated by the Minister of Education for elementary and secondary schools. They also include examples from assessments administered in previous years.

We encourage you to review them to help your child prepare more effectively.

What role do you play within your family, which is affected by ADHD?

An article from ADDITUDE magazine (Science and Strategies for ADHD) to help you identify your role within the family (the one who does too much, the one who doesn’t do enough, the peacemaker, or the one who exacerbates tensions) and how you can change your behavior patterns.

Ten Great Books for Women with ADHD

Until very recently, ADHD was considered a pediatric disorder that primarily affected boys. This means that generations of women—and their symptoms—have been misdiagnosed, ridiculed, and/or ignored. If you are one of these recently diagnosed women and are beginning to come to terms with all the false labels that have followed you throughout your life, these books might offer you some comfort and clarity.

GRADUATES PICTURE - 6TH GRADE

The time to celebrate the end of our students’ elementary school journey is fast approaching!

To commemorate this milestone, the official graduation photo session will take place on Tuesday, April 22.

Two portraits will be taken: the official one (with cap and gown) and the casual one (in formal attire). For the latter, we suggest smart casual attire (shirt, polo shirt, dress, blouse, etc.).

For the occasion, encourage your child to practice their best smile, as these photos will be precious memories of their time at school! Also, make sure they are present and ready right from the start of the day.

ANNUAL RUNNING CHALLENGE

We are pleased to announce that our school’s annual Running Challenge will take place on Wednesday, May 1! This event is a great opportunity for students to get active and take on a fun athletic challenge.

To ensure your child can participate safely and comfortably, here are the dress code guidelines for the day:

  • As a special exception, wearing the school uniform is not required for this event.
  • Students must wear clothing suitable for physical activity (T-shirt, shorts, or athletic pants).
  • To prevent injuries, running shoes are required.

Important: Don’t forget to pack a water bottle clearly labeled with your child’s name so they can stay hydrated throughout the activity, as well as sunscreen.

We look forward to seeing our young athletes in action!
