News from St. Patricia Parish
"You will be hated by all because of my name, but not a hair on your head will be destroyed." -Luke 21:17-18
Dear Parishioners,

Today, Veteran’s Day, November 11th, we pause to remember all those who served our country in wars long ago and today. Of course, we remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, giving their life for our freedom. Many still have the wounds of their service, physically and/or psychologically. Now, more than ever, we are aware of Post Traumatic Stress  Disorder (PTSD), which lasts for many years even with support from family and professionals.

For those who suffer with PTSD, life can become uninhabitable. Fear multiplies. Many become afraid to risk as negativity begins to be an immense force that needs to be tussled with. Lonesomeness can become overwhelming.

As we gather as one family, we pray that Jesus blesses us with His healing presence; and, for those who suffer from their time in service to our country, we pray for the grace to regain a degree of continuity...

St. Agatha, our Sharing Parish, will be accepting gift cards instead of gifts. However, we still need to assist the families in need. One of our volunteers will email or call you with a wish list for a Parishioner of St. Agatha. We will have a  signup sheet at the weekend’s Masses of November 5th and 6th, in the Gathering Space of our Church. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or email Missy. THANK YOU in advance for all your assistance to our area’s needy!
