News from St. Patricia Parish
“She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.” -Luke 2:7
Dear Parishioners and Guests,

WELCOME! Welcome one and all! May God Bless you at Christmas and Always!
I welcome the long-time parishioner or the newcomer.

Our Christmas celebrations are so special for me because I see so many young people, relatives, and friends of St. Patricia who come back to celebrate the Nativity of the Lord with us. This is my 2nd Christmas! We are beginning to know one another. However, many of you are long-time parishioners and friends. You look forward to gathering in Christ’s name to celebrate the Feast!

This past Advent, you have been so faithful in your preparation, with many of you using the  Advent Wreath Prayers as a means to become more centered.

I find the crowds at all the Masses energizing because I think it is wonderful to see so many people come to say thank you to the Lord and express their faith so prayerfully. Babies, little children, teenagers, young adults, etc., – all of you have been so good and faithful. Yes, we all make mistakes. But, because we belong to Him, we find the strength to move forward in hope, leaving behind our human flaws and sometimes shocking failures.
May the God of Peace be with you always! Merry Christmas!

The Catechism in a Year
Join us in a great New Year’s resolution that will change your life – let’s read the entire Catechism in a year!

St. Patricia is inviting our parishioners and friends to join us in reading the entire Catechism of the Catholic Church together using Fr. Mike Schmitz’s podcast, “The Catechism in a Year,” beginning January 1st. With this podcast, we won’t just read the Catechism in 365 days… this podcast will help us understand what it means to be Catholic and allow those truths to shape our daily lives!
