News from St. Patricia Parish
"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord; hosanna in the highest."
-Matthew 21:9
Dear Parishioners,

Holy Week is not an extra but rather is central in the life of the Church. The Paschal Triduum —The Three Days— are days when we renew our identity as members of the Church.

Holy Thursday— The ritual of Jesus washing His disciples’ feet calls us to share in the resurrection of the Lord by dying to self in love of others. We are all to wash one another’s feet, humble ourselves in service, and to show Christ’s love to those in need.

Good Friday— We call it “Good Friday,” for it is the day the Lord fought the power of evil and won. The Veneration of the Cross invites us to see the Cross as a sign of victory, not defeat. Our personal crosses, the tragedies of sin and death, do not destroy us but lead us to a more authentic life, a life in the Lord.

Easter Vigil and Sunday— All of us gather to renew our own Baptism. As believers, we celebrated our birth into a new life, our hope for everlasting life. The Easter fire rekindles in our hearts our belief in the Risen Christ, the “Light of the World.” Jesus is the “light” that no darkness can destroy. Renewed in Christ, we move forward boldly to live a life of charity and justice.

May God Bless you and yours on Easter Sunday when we sing, “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad. Alleluia!”

Please remember St. Patricia Parish by making a special offering on Easter Sunday to support our many ministries. A suggestive gift of $200.00 would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for all your prayers and support.

Disciple Maker Index (DMI) Survey
Don’t forget to share your feedback on the Disciple Maker Index! Today, March 31st is the last day to take your survey!

All responses will be confidential and the parish will only receive information about the community as a whole. The survey is available on our website: https://stpatriciaparish.com/parish-survey/

We are trying to get the highest response rate possible. This information will be invaluable to Fr. Meany, parish leadership, and our various ministries as we plan for the future and strive to be the best disciples we can be. We will receive the results this spring/summer at which time we will share what we have learned with the entire parish. Thank you for your help in this important matter!
