News from St. Patricia Parish
Jesus said: “My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me
-John 10:27
Dear Parishioners,

Perhaps when you when you were growing up, certain precepts and bywords were articles of faith in which your family taught you, perhaps mostly by your Mother.

Do these sound familiar?:

  • “Honestly is the best policy.” It saved time and worry, because if you always told the truth, you never had to keep track of what you said.
  • “Make yourself useful.” Anything worthwhile required effort.
  • “If, at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.” And, “Never, never give up.”
  • Always say, “Please” and “Thank you.”
  • “Wash your hands before you eat.”
  • Children were a reflection of their parents. “Now be good,” you were told as you started out the door...
Happy Mother's Day
