News from St. Patricia Parish
Mary sat beside the Lord at his feet listening to him speak.-Luke 10:39
Dear Parishioners,

We had a Leadership Gathering of 20 parishioners on Thursday, June 30th to give thanks and to look forward to new ministries and future plans to refresh the parish and school areas. The meeting explained that all of these efforts are going to be made in order to build up our school and religious education programs. Furthermore, the work we are doing will enable us to host more adult formation activities in which “Renew My Church” calls for.

Once again, I am grateful for your warm welcome and support over the past year. We have had a couple of ups and downs, but I feel that because of your support we are moving forward. Our   Sunday Mass attendance is growing even more over the summer months. My Installation Mass and Reception, the School Play (“Frozen”) and the Wine Mixer were great gatherings, especially after all of the restrictions that were put in place. I hope we continue to move in this direction and add more opportunities to gather, celebrate, and give thanks.

The Parish Pastoral Council and Finance Committee, along with those involved in the three different Task Force Committees, namely, Make Disciples, Inspire Witness, and Build Community, gathered in the school’s hospitality room for pizza and discussions. A tour of the school took place at the conclusion of the evening. This was the fourth leadership meeting we have had this past fiscal year (June 30, 2021 - July 1, 2022). A complete summary will be made in the fall and will be presented to the parish at large.

An extensive agenda was presented that included thanking the following: Parish Leadership, Queen of Hearts’ Volunteers, and the Welcome Committee who reported 43 new parishioners registered and 50 parishioners updated their information. We warmly welcomed our new principal, Erick Passarelli (a 2004 Graduate of St. Patricia School.)

Power Outtage 7/10/2022
You may have noticed this past Sunday that the air conditioning, sound system, and organ were not operating at Mass. We experienced a power outage Sunday, July 10th from 7 am to 2:30 pm. The main transformer located by the school lunch room shorted out Sunday which resulted in a “brown out” for the church and school. The Rectory building was unaffected.

Thankfully, Com-Ed came out and replaced the unit by 2:30 pm! We had no damage to our equipment or incurred any related costs for repair. Thank you for your patience!
