Dear Parishioners,

Summer is a time for weddings. We often hear Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians, Chapter 13:1-13...
...Paul’s poem is more than mere moralizing (“please try harder to behave like this!”). It does not just celebrate the fact that love is the greatest thing in God’s world. It doesn’t just explain what love will mean in practice (patient, kind, not jealous or boastful, and so on). The poem says much more, especially when you reflect on the last paragraph....

Field of Honor
Everyone is welcome to join the Field of Honor event which will be held on September 10 at Moraine Valley Community College. From now until August 15 you have an opportunity to purchase an American Flag (or Flags) in honor of those who have served or are still serving. Just visit:

Your flag will be displayed at Moraine Valley Community College for several days with a tag describing who the flag is in honor of. Afterwards, you will be able to take your flag home and display it proudly. Follow us on Facebook with the latest updates!

Holy Name Society News
It is that time of year again, but the date has changed. Split the Pot for the Hickory Hills Street Fair at St. Patricia’s booth will be held on Sunday, August 28th.
The drawing will be held at 6:30 p.m. Four winners will be selected. See the sample ticket for the winning amounts. Tickets will be on sale at the vestibule or Gathering Space of the Church after all Masses beginning Sat., August 6th through Sun., August 28th. You can also purchase your tickets at the Street Fair. We hope to see you there!
