News from St. Patricia Parish
“No servant can serve two masters." -Luke 16:13
Dear Parishioners,

Catechetical Sunday is celebrated this Sunday at the 9:30 a.m. Mass and reminds us of the many thousands of students who have returned to our parochial schools and religious education programs across the Archdiocese of Chicago. A new school year has begun and we are most grateful to all of the school teachers and lay volunteers who serve as catechists. In particular, we are grateful to our own dedicated laborers who pass on the faith here at St. Patricia Parish. We are grateful to the parents who serve as coaches and committees that make these programs run so smoothly.

Our young families have been and continue to be supported in the ways of faith by you, the faithful parishioner. Your Christian witness and financial sacrifice does make a difference for our young people. St. Patricia is recognized throughout the Archdiocese for this partnership. This is one of the reasons why we have remained a stand-alone parish and have not merged, as many others have experienced through the “Renew My Church” initiative. I ask God to bless you and all the children who are being shaped by the Catholic Faith at St. Patricia

Religion is a way of seeing. It is a way that opens the hearts and minds of people of goodwill to see how our God touches the human condition and makes it whole—makes it beautiful...
