Choir of Saint John's Liverpool Choral Residency Fundraiser

Donations Still Needed!

We are very pleased and excited to announce that the Music Program at Saint John’s has entered into a multi-year period of collaboration with Liverpool Cathedral in the UK. Liverpool Cathedral is the seat of the Bishop of Liverpool, the largest cathedral in Britain, and the fifth largest in the world.

This exciting exchange will include:

  • May 2025: The Choir of Saint John’s will hold Choral Residency at the Cathedral, singing a total of seven liturgies

  • October 2026: The Choir of Liverpool Cathedral will present an unforgettable afternoon of music at Saint John’s

Our goal is to raise at least $30,000 dollars to be used for partial and full scholarships for talented participants in need as well $12,000 to go towards bringing Liverpool Cathedral’s exceptional 60-voice choir to Saint John’s in October 2026.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers Needed

Would you like to serve at the altar on Sundays (10:30 am or 5:30 pm) as a Lay Eucharistic Minister (LEM)/chalice bearer? St John’s is looking for confirmed Youth (age 16+) and adults who are interested in serving at the altar. This role is important to our worship and is a great way to experience the liturgy in a new way. If you are curious what this entails and want to know more, please contact Holly Snowden for more information. holly@lilesengineering.com.

Volunteers Needed!

Youth Volunteer Opportunities

Most middle and upper schoolers need to complete volunteer hours for school plus it’s good for the soul! Serving as an acolyte, a lector, or a member of the Live Stream team is a wonderful way for students to be part of the service and dive deeper into the worship service. For more information about acolytes contact Gil Uhlhorn at tguhlhorn75@gmail.com, for more information about being a lector contact Holly Snowden at holly@lilesengineering.com, and for more information about joining the Live Stream team, contact Antoinette Cheney at

antoinette@stjohnsmemphis.org.

Adult Volunteer Opportunities

Parish Office Volunteers

St. John’s is looking for an on-call to help answer the phone, taking messages, and attending to visitors who ring the doorbell. Their warm and helpful presence ensures the smooth functioning of our office and the warm welcome extended to anyone who seeks assistance or information during these hours. Additionally, they support administrative tasks such as occasionally putting together mailings and packets. For more information, please email Antoinette at antoinette@stjohnsmemphis.org.

Stock the Pews

Two to three times a month, the pews need to be stocked with various brochures to keep visitors and parishioners in the know of what’s going in and around St. John’s. One to two people could alternate, or one person could handle it on their own. For more information, please email Antoinette at antoinette@stjohnsmemphis.org.

Church Guidebook and Directories Will Be Delivered Soon!

Parish Family, be on the look-out for your final hard-copy of the Saint John's church directory that will be mailed to your home. If you have not recieved your copy by March 2, please contact the church office.

2025 Baptism Dates
