The Holy Trinity, or three Persons in one God, is a unity hard to think about, so we call it a mystery. What we can understand is that God the Father created us in love; God the Son loved us so much He died for us; and God the Holy Spirit lovingly dwells in us every day. This Solemnity shows us a profound relationship between God, the Father, Jesus, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Not only are we called to participate in this relationship, but we are also called to be God's compassion and hope to the world. (Liturgy of the Word, pg. 204)
