Flower Fest: Bring a Bouquet to Church – Sunday, July 26

Do you have summer flowers blooming in your garden? Bring a bouquet—big or small, simple or fancy—to help decorate the chapel for worship on July 26. Just place your blooms in a vase and drop it off at the chapel narthex between 9:40 and 9:50 AM. After the service, take your bouquet back home to keep enjoying it, or pass it along to a friend!

Fall Registration Is Open — Get Your Kids Signed Up!

One form covers it all this year. Register your child(ren) for every kids' and youth ministry at once:

• Sunday School
• Music programs
• Kids' groups
• Youth group

How it works:

1. Open the fillable PDF form.
2. Fill in your child(ren)'s information.
3. Hit "Submit Completed Form" — it'll email straight to Megan.

Deadline: Friday, July 24. Registering by then helps us line up volunteers, set up classrooms, and be fully ready to welcome your family back in September. Keep an eye out for start-date details on each program as fall approaches!

We're delighted to announce that Rev. Nanette Sawyer will be joining First Presbyterian Church of Libertyville as our new Interim Associate Pastor in September. Her first Sunday with us will be Rally Day, September 13.

Summer Book Read

Readers age 14 and up are invited to join the First Pres Summer Book Read! This year we're reading two books that retell the story of Huckleberry Finn from a new vantage point: the bestselling novel "James" by Percival Everett and the graphic novel "Big Jim and the White Boy" by David F. Walker and Marcus Kwame Anderson. We'll gather to discuss both books in person on Sunday, August 30 from 11:30 AM–12:45 PM, and over Zoom on Tuesday, September 1 from 7–8:15 PM.

Phishing Texts & Email Scams

Scams like spoofed emails and texts are becoming more common and can be very convincing—even appearing to come from someone you know.

In some cases, scammers may pose as pastors, staff, or fellow members and ask for gift cards, money, personal information, or a quick response to a link.

A few simple reminders:

• Be cautious of unexpected or urgent messages, even if they look legitimate
• Don’t click links or respond right away—pause and verify first
• When in doubt, contact the person directly using a phone number you trust
