Week of November 30

Join us at 10:00 AM in the Sanctuary or Chapel

Rev. Dr. Brian R. Paulson is preaching in the chapel and Rev. Amy M. Heinrich is preaching in the sanctuary. The services will also be livestreamed on our YouTube channel.

Flower Dedications: The flowers in the chapel this Sunday are placed to the glory of God by Juli and Jamie Dunsing in celebration of National Adoption Month, with hope for all those still awaiting their "forever families"; and by Linda Westman in the Sanctuary with gratitude to Sue Bogseth for her time and talent dedicated to the financial stewardship of FPCL.

Advent Devotions Emails: If you received our Advent devotions last year, you’ll automatically receive them by email starting Sunday. If you haven’t subscribed before, you can sign up using the link on our website or email mhuber@boxp.net. Each day, devotion contributors will share a reading, a personal reflection, a prayer, and a short biography to help you get to know them better.

This Sunday - Advent Vespers Service at 5:00 PM

Begin the Advent season with an evening of music in the sanctuary. The Vespers Choir, with baritone Adam Hendrickson, will share beautiful Advent music from early to contemporary styles, joined by the Jubilate Bells and instrumentalists. Come and let the light of Christ guide your heart as we prepare for the joy of Christmas.

Ecumenical Advent Service: "Table of Refuge” – December 10 at 6:45 PM

You are warmly invited to our annual Ecumenical Advent Service, led by women in ministry. Join us at our “Table of Refuge” as we reflect on the Christmas story, with Jesus, born as a refugee, who became our Refuge. This candlelight communion service offers a sacred space to preserve the holiness amid the busyness of the holidays. Our table is open to all as we affirm our unity in the body of Christ.

The evening will begin at 6:45 PM with a festive reception in the church social hall, where we’ll enjoy the warmth of twinkling lights, delicious sweets, and savory treats. At 7:30 PM, we’ll move to the chapel for a time of reflection, song, communion and shared anticipation as we journey together toward the joy of Christmas.

Holiday Giving Tree: Gifts given through the Giving Tree program provide hope and love to those in need through several partner organizations. To give, use the QR code or click here.

Time to Sign up for the Christmas Pageant

The Christmas Pageant will be on Sunday, December 14, at 10:00 AM in the Sanctuary.

This year's pageant has roles for any child or youth who would like to participate - both speaking and non-speaking roles. On the registration form, you'll be asked to indicate the three most desired roles so we can make sure everyone gets to participate in a way they desire.

Before signing up using the button below, please know that there are two REQUIRED rehearsals for the speaking and non-speaking roles: Sunday, December 7, from 12:15-1:45 PM and Saturday, December 13, from 9:30-11:00 AM. Please be sure your calendar is free for the whole time on both of these dates before signing up.

(Singing roles will have rehearsal times set by their choir directors - kids are able to participate in both singing AND speaking/non-speaking roles.)

Reach out to Rev. Nicole with any questions!
