News from St. Patricia Parish
"Give the Lord Glory and Honor"
Dear Parishioners,

Thank you to all who organized and helped in any way to make my Installation a wonderful celebration! My family and friends were impressed by your warm hospitality. I am very grateful to the Parish community members who took the time to be with me — your presence made the festivities complete!

Our Parish Leadership night that was held on September 29th was a time to review the past and look to the future. The School, Religious Education Program, and the Annual Report were discussed along with future capital improvement plans. The “Renew My Church” Initiative was presented, and together we looked at how the goals could be implemented...
Parish Leadership Meeting Overview
Thank you to all who joined us for the Parish Leadership Meeting on September 29, 2021! It was a wonderful evening spent sharing a pasta dinner, conversations with fellow parishioners, and, reflecting on past accomplishments and future goals for St. Patricia Parish.  If you'd like to learn more about what was discussed, please view the overview presentation below.

2 Videos were also shared with attendees. Please click below to view.
This year’s nominee and recipient of the Award was presented by Cardinal Blase J. Cupich on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Holy Name Cathedral to Mr. Joseph Kunnengode. In Mr. Kunnengode’s words: “It was certainly a humble honor to be presented with the award in support of St. Patricia Parish.” Mr. Kunnengode was one of 11 recipients from Vicariate V under Most Rev. Andrew P. Wypych. Mr. Kunnengode has been a St. Patricia Parishioner for over 30 years.  Mr. Kunnengode is also an active member of the Knights of Columbus.

Upcoming Events - Welcome Weekend October 23-24, 2021
We are pleased to announce that our next Welcome Weekend is planned for October 23-24, 2021 at every Mass.

We will invite the congregation to complete the St. Patricia Parishioner/Family Registration Form (similar to the Annual Catholic Appeal process our Pastor administers each February). We want to make sure we have the latest contact information for all Parishioners/Families. The Welcoming Committee members will distribute the Parish Registration Forms and pencils after Communion. We will ask you to complete the Registration Form if:

  1. You are new and would like to register with the Parish.
  2. You had a change of mailing address since October 2019.
  3. You had a change of cell phone or email address since October 2019.
  4. You registered many years ago and never gave us your cell phone number or email address.
  5. You would like to update the members of your household in our Parish records.

If you do not have any changes or updates, then you will not need to complete a Parish Registration Form at this time.

The Parish Registration Forms can be returned after Mass in a sealed box in the Gathering Space, or dropped off at the Rectory during the week, or brought back to Mass next weekend.

Also, we will distribute an updated Fall 2021 St. Patricia Parish Ministry Booklet after Masses on Welcome Weekend. The Ministry Booklet contains a description of each Ministry here at our Parish, along with contact information about joining. Please consider joining a new Ministry to grow your relationship with St. Patricia’s faith community. Fr. Mike Meany will speak at each Mass on the importance and value of joining a Parish Ministry and how our Ministries help our parish and local community grow in the faith.

We will have hospitality after each Mass in the Gathering Space.
St. Patricia Religious Education News
Happy October! It’s wonderful to see our program growing and thriving with over 200 students enrolled! A warm welcome to our returning RE families and to our 40+ new families.
October is the month we celebrate the Blessed Mother and the Holy Rosary. All students from our RE Program and our School will receive a rosary that has been made by members of our Rosary Warriors League. A prayer service in honor of the holy rosary will be held later this month for our students. We encourage you to take some time to pray the rosary. Invite someone to join you. If you need a rosary, please contact our office. We always have some blessed rosaries available for our St. Patricia family.

In Christ,
Christine Ramos, RE Director

St. Patricia School Good News
Our Faith in Action
The Feast of Sts. Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael, the Archangels took place on Wednesday, September 29th. On this day, we remember three angels who are influential with God. St. Patricia School and community celebrated this day with a special Mass that included our First Responders of our local community. Our guest list included the fire and police department, paramedics, and representatives of our local government. Fr. Chris blessed our First Responders, thanked them for their courageous work, and asked the congregation to support them. Each representative was given a rosary and bookmark with the Guardian Angel prayer.

We are in need of Eucharistic Ministers for Weekend Masses!
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Ms. Missy Keegan at mkeegan@stpatriciaparish.com or call the Parish Office at (708) 598-5222.
