News from St. Patricia Parish
“Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.”
-Luke 6:38
Dear Parishioners,

Our journey of faith is a challenge each day! Often times, it is hard or nearly impossible to find hope.

Some days I can identify with the writer of Psalm 10: Lord, why do you stand afar off and hide yourself in times of distress? The poor man is devoured by the pride of the wicked: he is caught in the schemes that others have made.

In my pastoral experience and in my own life, I have wondered where God is. For example, where is God when you hear the bad news of your best friend diagnosed with cancer or a young mother and father who go through the agony of having a stillborn baby? Also, where is God when you see the horror on TV of innocent people cut down by senseless street violence, or in particular, and in more recent years, the world has been stung by the inhumane killings by some terrorists.

How do we find hope for ourselves and those who seem caught in circumstances beyond their control?

Where is God?...
2022 Annual Catholic Appeal
We at St. Patricia Parish, invite you to spend some time this week reflecting on the Annual Catholic Appeal materials you have read in the bulletin, E-news, or received in the mail.

The Annual Catholic Appeal is much different than a one-time special collection: It is a pledged commitment to make a gift over time. Your pledge can be made payable in installments. Each pledge makes a difference because all parishes participate in the campaign and the gifts of many enable our archdiocese to deliver needed ministries and services to answer the call of “Making all things new … God’s promise and our responsibility.”

If you received your pledge form in the mail, please complete it and mail it back. This year we are also encouraging parishioners to make their Annual Catholic Appeal gifts online Please click the button below for secure online giving.
