We are very grateful to the Parish for their constant support and dedication to our mission of providing the highest quality Catholic education to our students. Thank you!
Our Faith in Action

St. Patricia Religious Education News
Registration for our Full Year Religious Education Program is now underway!
Looking ahead, we pray our world will be healed and our lives will be more back to “normal” when we return in September for our new RE year. We can’t wait until we are all reunited in person at our church and our school! It will be a day of great celebration! Be sure to sign up and share the registration form with other families you may know, so we may keep the Catholic faith and the love of God alive and flourishing in our community!

When is Registration due? When do classes begin?
We ask that all Registration forms be turned in by September 16, 2021. The first day of classes is scheduled for Tuesday, September 21, 2021.

What grades are offered for the Full Year RE Program?
We offer RE classes for Kindergarten through 8th grade. Classes will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

What are the requirements for children to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation?
Children must be baptized. The Archdiocese usually requires the children to take part in a two year preparation program for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation. For 2021-22 the Archdiocese of Chicago has announced the two-year requirement to receive Sacraments will be waived this year for all incoming 2nd and 8th Graders who were unable to attend Religious Education last year. These students will participate in a very short catch-up program, in addition to this year’s classes, so they will be able to receive the Sacrament(s) appropriate to their grade level this school year.

Do you offer any classes for Teens who are in need of receiving Sacraments?
Yes, they may register for our Teen RCIA Program. It is a one year program which runs from September through March. Classes will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

Do you offer any program for Adults who are in need of receiving Sacraments?
Yes, they may register for our Adult RCIA Program. It is a one year program which runs from October through March or April. Classes will be held on Monday evenings.

Where are the registration forms located?
You can find our registration form on our website, in the church gathering space, or at the rectory. You can also request a registration form by email at [email protected] or call our office at 708-599-1221.

Jesus is waiting for you here at St. Patricia Parish!
Come join us; grow in the beauty of your Catholic faith.

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion is the formal title of laypeople who distribute the Eucharist during Mass. This training provides all those wishing to serve in this ministry sufficient spiritual, theological, and practical preparation to fulfill their role with knowledge and reverence.

All ministers of Holy Communion should show the greatest reverence for the Most Holy Eucharist by their demeanor, their attire, and the manner in which they handle the consecrated bread or wine. This training is open to adults and teens who have received their confirmation.
