Congratulations on your
50th Wedding Anniversary,
Mary Susan and Ken Kring!

O God, you have so consecrated the covenant of marriage that it represents the spiritual unity between Christ and his Church: Send your blessing upon these your servants as they celebrate their anniversary, that they may continue to love, honor and cherish each other in faithfulness and patience, in wisdom and true godliness, that their home may be a haven of blessing and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Usual Suspects Band
One of the regions top bands, Usual Suspects consists of 9 talented musicians with powerful guitar licks, tasteful keyboard, strong vocalists, as well as a bopping 3 piece horn section, this band is HOT!! They have a background in Rock, R & B, Pop, Motown, Jazz & Swing, something for everyone to enjoy. They are a "Get Up and Dance" kind of band and you won't want to miss their sounds at Boots 'n Pearls at Cardome's Black Barn on August 28.

Sponsorship Opportunities for Boots 'n Pearls
Please join us in support of the Scott County Family Resource & Youth Service Center(FRYSC) and the fund "Bridge the Gap" to raise money for mental health services for local K-12 students.

The FRYSC identifies students that need help: suicide prevention, addiction, grief, depression, and trauma. Why are we raising money for this fund? Many times the school grants do not cover many of the student's needs, circumstances make some students ineligible, and there are not enough funds to go around. Students who need help can fall into the gap and not get the services they need.

Become a sponsor!

New Outreach Committee Forming
Are you interested in outreach in our community?

A new group is forming in the church to begin thinking about how we are already active in outreach and where we think we are called to do more. We will ask questions like, Why do we do outreach as Christians? What are we trying to achieve?

This group will be studying the book, Horizons of Mission, by Titus Pressler. We will learn more about outreach and together we will begin to hear where God is leading us in Georgetown and beyond its borders.

1st meeting: August 8th after church during coffee time in the Parish Hall.
Where in the world?
Do you have a globe?
Denise Placido is requesting the use of a globe for Godly Play lessons this fall. Do you have one that you might let the church have or borrow? Contact Denise at
According to the Episcopal Dictionary, a pilgrimage is, "A journey taken with a religious or devotional intention. Pilgrimages are typically made to shrines, holy places, or locations of religious significance and they may be made as prayers of thanksgiving, penitence, intercession, or petition. Pilgrimage centers provide an opportunity for retreat, renewal, and a journey of the heart."

There is interest at Holy Trinity in planning a pilgrimage in 2022. To begin this conversation let's get together Thursday, August 5th, at Mi Casita #2 (1135 Lexington Rd, Georgetown) at 6:00 pm. Please let us know you're coming and we'll save you a seat. All are welcome to attend this meeting and help plan this trip. It's exciting!

Where should we go?
This group will decide over the next few months.

Iona Abbey, Scotland?
Washington National Cathedral?
Canterbury Cathedral?
Beautiful Churches in the Cotswolds?

There are many more choices!
Come join this group and we'll decide together
where we will go in 2022.
