Allyship Training

We may have an opportunity to sponsor a 6 hour Allyship training here at Grace Church. The training would be 2 days in a row for 3 hours each day on Zoom in April or May.

What is Allyship? Service Never Sleeps facilitates a training workshop that establishes the new term, Allyship as an active way of life, revolving around the CLAIM acronym – Care, Learn, Act, Influence, and Maintain. The workshop teaches individuals about the causes of social justice, how to be effective allies for marginalized communities, and how to actively influence and educate others.

If you would be interested in participating in this training please let Sharon know ASAP so we can claim one of the 3 offerings in April or May. We would need at least 30 people to commit with a deposit of $10 each.

My Way of Love is a personal guide for the spiritual journey, providing coaching to help individuals grow along the seven practices for Jesus-centered life: turn, learn, pray, worship, bless, go, and rest. It begins with a brief online survey which assesses where you are in your spiritual life.

Virginia’s annual “Severe Weather Preparedness Week” will be observed March 15th – 19^th to improve readiness, responsiveness and resilience against severe weather events during the 2021 season, with a statewide tornado drill scheduled to take place on Tuesday, March 16 at 9:45 AM.
