Lessons from the Pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic suddenly changed many things - the way we work, go to school, worship, celebrate rituals, serve our community and conduct basic business. More than a year later with more and more people receiving vaccinations we're finally seeing a light at the end tunnel. What lessons has the pandemic shown you and your family? Send your responses to [email protected]

ACTS Ministry

At the Vestry meeting Monday night several vestry members spoke with tremendous gratitude about the attention and support they have received from the ACTS team during their surgeries, convalescence and rehabilitation. This sentiment is echoed by many other parishioners. Thank you to all of our ACTS team leaders and members!

If you have a pastoral concern or know of someone who does please contact Tuck Bowerfind, Sharon White or Gail Dick.

What is ACTS?

ACTS (Actively Caring Through Sharing) is a pastoral care ministry to parishioners and the community of our church. Our five teams consist of over 30 people or family units that volunteer for the Grace ACTS ministry. Each team has about 6 members and is on duty every 5 weeks. Grace ACTS members select two or three needs from the list when it their team is on duty. Team members pray for, call, visit or send a card to those on the list that are ill, have had a death in their family or are celebrating new baby or a birthday. Would you like to be a part of the ACTS ministry? Contact Sharon or Gail for more information.

Spring 2021 UTO Ingathering

Thank you to Julia Littlefield who has so graciously served as the UTO chair of Grace since 2004.  She is ready to step down and Melanie Griffis Hooper and Drusie Milford will be taking the reins.

Grace will be holding their ingathering for the UTO on May 23rd. Congregants at Grace have been celebrating their blessings with UTO since 1938!  Please consider continuing the tradition of the “little blue box”.  Drop a coin in the box each day to give thanks to God for your blessings and to show your gratitude.  What a wonderful activity to do personally and as a family.   It is never too late to start!  (If you need a blue box, there will be some out in the parish hall or please contact Lisa.)

UTO distributes 100% of the intake to support missions and ministries in the Episcopal Church and Provinces of the Anglican Communion.  (Our own Grace church has been a beneficiary of grants from the UTO.)
