Neighbors Table Update

Neighbors Table would like folks to know that all the work to upgrade the kitchen and become a member of the AR Food Bank has been worth it. This is the meal we served last week. The majority of the food was bought at a lower cost or at no cost. We purchased paper bags, take out containers and fresh bananas. Of course, we have to maintain our staples, but this was a very good meal of meat, vegetables, cheese snacks, fruit salad and cookies.

In addition, thanks to the Blue and You mini grant that we received, we were able to distribute 1 pound rolls of ground beef and some fresh eggs to every family who wanted them. We served 171 meals.

We thank the parish for the continuing support and please know that anyone wanting to help on a Friday or Saturday is welcome to join us.  Contact Charlie Tyrone, 479-857- 0480, ctyrone_49@hotmail.com or Catherine Crews, 479-264-4346,  catherine.crews@icloud.com for information.

Cereal, Dish Soap, Toilet Paper, Shampoo, Toothbrushes ; Toothpaste for Loaves and Fishes

Loaves and Fishes, a part of the Neighbors Table ministry, asks for donations of cereal, dish soap, toilet paper and shampoo to provide to our guests. Also needed are soft and medium toothbrushes and toothpaste. Children’s toothbrushes are welcome donations. Please place your gifts in the Loaves and Fishes Wagon in the nave.

As a reminder, you can support Neighbors Table with a donation to Food Ministries in the Giving tab at the All Saints’ webpage.

NT is also asking for reusable bags to help distribute our Loaves and Fishes
items on Saturday. If you have any extras, please bring to church.

Practicing Prayer

This week we will begin with 20 minutes of silent prayer, and then read together with

Lectio Divina a poem by Teilhard de Chardin, “Trust in the Slow Work of God.”

All are welcome! To receive a copy of this poem, and to receive a Zoom invitation, please email Catherine Crews, catherine.crews@icloud.com, with your contact information.

We pray for those who have birthdays this week: Laird Duran, Fran Ferris,

Kevin Hodges, Mindy Hudson, Chris Kellner, and Lukas Turner.

O God, our times are in your hand: Look with favor, we pray, on

your servants as they begin another year. Grant that they may grow

in wisdom and grace, and strengthen their trust in your goodness

all the days of their lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

For those celebrating an anniversary this week: Barbara & Hank Stoltz.

O gracious and everliving God, look mercifully upon your servants who come to renew the promises they have made to each other. Grant them your blessing, and assist them with your grace, that with true fidelity and steadfast love they may honor and keep their promises and vows; through Jesus Christ our Savior, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Please let the office know if your birthday or anniversary has been missed, so that we may add the date to our records.
