The Concordia University Wind Ensemble

The Concordia University Wind Ensemble, a select 41-member concert band, from Concordia University, Nebraska will be performing at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 720 Dundee Avenue, Barrington, on Friday, March 8, at 7 p.m.

Saturday, March 23, Pastor Scott Bruzek from St. John Lutheran Church, Wheaton, will be talking about "Everything Matters Because Everything Teaches". Cost is $10 a person, pastors are free, and includes breakfast. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Registration is now open for Concordia Seminary, St. Louis’ annual Multi ethnic Symposium, which is set for April 25-26 at the Seminary campus. The symposium explores what it means and what it will take to become a truly multiethnic church.
|
|
The theme of this year’s symposium is “Shame and Honor: Gospel Proclamation in the Majority World.” The symposium also includes the 14th Annual Lecture in Hispanic/Latino Theology and Missions. Registration for the Multiethnic Symposium is $50 and includes meals. On-campus housing is available for an additional fee.

Part-Time Ministry Facilitator

Voice of Care Seeks Part-Time Ministry Facilitator, 80 hours per month. Active LCMS members in good standing can be considered. This is an ideal position for a person with experience in special education, social work, counseling, or experiences among people with disabilities.
|
|
Ordained and commissioned church workers are also invited to apply. Work requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to consistently uphold the values expressed in Voice of Care’s mission to equip churches to reach and serve people with disabilities, and their caregivers. Duties include light travel and occasional conference attendance. For more information about Voice of Care, visit
