As we come to the end of National Lutheran Schools Week, we celebrate the opportunities for Lutheran education in our District, including the expansion of St. Paul Lutheran School in Aurora.
On Sunday, January 13, 2019, St. Paul Lutheran Church and School in Aurora held a dedication service which celebrated their new school addition, allowing the whole student body to be under one roof. Their theme: Grateful. Thankful. Blessed. Read the entire story at

Scholarship Information Meeting
An information meeting for school administrators, school community liaisons, school fundraisers and business managers will be held Monday, February 11, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Christopher Center, Room 200, Concordia University Chicago, 7400 Augusta Street, River Forest.
Representatives from Empower Illinois will be on hand to answer questions as to how your school may receive funds and the application process for students.

If you are attending, it is important to park in the garage as well as having a permit displayed. You may print the permit here.

Senior Luncheon

Hope Lutheran Church, 6455 Joliet Road, Countryside, is hosting a Senior Luncheon on Wednesday, February 13. There will be an 11:15 a.m. Bible Study opportunity and lunch served at noon.

Junior High Retreat

Grant Initiative for Congregations and Ministries in the NID
The NID has developed a grant initiative in order to partner with congregations and ministries in the NID. The grants are designed to be seed money which help our congregations and ministries connect and engage with people in their respective communities that do not yet know Jesus.
The application and additional information may be found on our website at www. “Church Administrator: Grant Applications.” Grant requests must be received by the Endowment Committee no later than April 15, 2019.
