13th Sunday of Ordinary Time
June 28, 2020
Dear Parishioners:

As we approach the end of the fiscal year on June 30, 2020 and enter Fiscal Year 21 on July 1, the parish has been working on next year’s budget.  This is a difficult task as there are many unknowns regarding when society will return to more socialization and people’s comfort levels increase and more people return to mass. The chart below compares parish offertory income of April and May of 2019 to 2020. [ charts do not travel well in Constant Contact]

During these two months this year there was no public mass. Fortunately many parishioners give electronically and those numbers actually increased for these two months. Across the entire year the Online or Credit card increased by 50%.  Obviously, since parishioners were not able to attend mass the ‘dropping off an envelope or loose cash’ in a collection basket was not available.  These two lines items saw a significant decrease. The 'loose' is nearly non existent for the past two months, a nearly $10,000 loss per month. If that number holds for the next fiscal year, there is a loss of over $100,000.  The parish staff and leadership will continue to monitor and keep you up to date.
