Our Lady of Guadalupe & St. Patrick's Parishes

Spreading the Gospel on the South Side of Milwaukee

February 2026

A Young Missionary in our parishes, Miguel Angel Quiroz

Greetings and blessings, St. Patrick’s and Our Lady of Guadalupe,

My name is Michael Angelo Quiroz, and I serve as a missionary with Iskali, stationed here at St. Patrick’s. My apostolate is dedicated to recruiting, forming, and accompanying young adult Catholic Latinos. Day to day, you’ll find me with young adults listening, accompanying, and helping them step into confident, faith-filled leadership.

I plan to launch new events specifically for young adults, including movie nights about the saints, adoration, Tacos, Tragos y Teología, salsa dancing, and Theology of the Body, among other gatherings and community nights spaces to learn, pray, and build community. A key part of my role is having one-on-ones with young adults; I hold office hours at the parish office to accompany you in your faith journey, discernment, and leadership.

I grew up in Waukegan, Illinois, with deep family roots in Mexico. My faith was shaped at home, in parish life, and through years of formation and service. The Lord placed a desire in my heart to walk with young people especially within the Latino community who are seeking purpose, belonging, and a path to serve. Through discernment, mentoring, and hands-on ministry, I discovered my vocation as a lay missionary: to help young adults encounter Christ, grow in discipleship, and become leaders in their parish communities.

I’m grateful to be here at St. Patrick’s and excited to meet you. If you’re a young adult or you know one let’s connect. Together, let’s form a parish culture where everyone is welcomed, equipped, and sent to share the joy of the Gospel.

Thank You to Our Confirmation Retreat Leaders and Participants

We are grateful to the facilitators and participants of the Confirmation youth retreat. It was truly inspiring to see how the young people and the sponsors they have chosen shared and supported each other on their faith journey.

JOIN US THIS LENT!

Weekly Activities:

  • Stations of the Cross: Every Friday
  • Holy Rosary: Sundays before the 12:30 PM Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe

Come, reflect, and grow in faith with us this Lenten season!

Not sure what to do for Lent this year? Instead of only giving up chocolate or Netflix, why not take on something that can truly deepen your faith something that helps you reconnect with God?

This Lent, we invite you to join The Search: a 7-week faith formation series for adults in a small-group setting (8–12 people). Each gathering includes a video, time for silent reflection, and a simple guided conversation. Together we’ll explore life’s deeper questions: Where does it all come from? What am I here for? Where am I going? What happens when I die?

Faith wasn’t meant to be lived alone. We grow more deeply when we walk together.

Registration is free. Groups are offered in Spanish and English.
