Please complete the reenrollment form for the 2019-20 school year on or before Friday, Feb. 1st to secure your child's space.

This month at Park Maitland we will be focusing on Habit #4:
"Think Win-Win"

"When we give to others, we often benefit in return. It usually happens when we expect it the least, but need it the most."

We found  this catchy tune  that can be shared with your children as a fun way to remember "Think Win-Win".
Our first week back from winter break brought much fun and excitement for our staff and students! Enjoy these highlights. More photos can be viewed on our  Smug Mug  account. The password to access is tradition1819. Enjoy!
Park Maitland Annual Spelling Bee

We had 27 participants in grades 4-6 in this year's Spelling Bee on Thursday, Jan 10th. Each class had a winner and a runner up participate.  After 10 rounds we did not have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner but instead were left with the 5 finalists listed below:

Olivia Dewar
Madden Matthias
Sammy Lou
Maryam Sheikh
Ashwin Anand
Some of the words these students spelled to advance to the playoff round included: connubial, formaldehyde, vicissitudes, putrefaction, and unpropitious.

In order to determine a winner, these finalists completed a written test on Friday, Jan 11th with the following results:

1st place - Madden Matthias
2nd place - Sammy Lou
3rd place - Ashwin Anand
Congratulations to all of our participants and winners!
Our 5th and 6th grade teams competed with great sportsmanship in the ACYS Flag Football League. Congratulations to our 6th grade team for going undefeated and winning the league championship! We are proud of both teams for their hard work and dedication.
K-4 students celebrated with the King himself on Elvis's 83rd birthday.
Students in Ms. Ayers class had so much fun making recycled snowmen!
Grade 6 students built, programmed, and battled LEGO Mindstorm robots, and their K-4 friends provided an eager audience to watch the battles ensue!
K-4 students celebrated Miss U with their annual umbrella parade. The Letter People make learning letters so much fun!
