This month at Park Maitland we will be focusing on Habit #4:
"Think Win-Win"

"When we give to others, we often benefit in return. It usually happens when we expect it the least, but need it the most."

We found  this catchy tune  that can be shared with your children as a fun way to remember "Think Win-Win".
Exciting 50th Celebration Update...
Space is limited!

We have just a few tables left, and they are going fast! Join us for this celebration 50 years in the making. For more event information CLICK HERE .
Congratulations, Nurse Chouljian!

We are excited to share that our beloved school nurse has completed the Nationally Board Certified School Nurse exam, which is accredited by the American Board of Nursing Specialities, the only accrediting body specifically for nursing certification. Upon passing this rigorous exam, Ms. Chouljian is now a Nationally Board Certified School Nurse. Certification for School Nurses is a mark of rare distinction and accomplishment. We are so proud of Ms. Chouljian for this accomplishment!
Ms. Belle Warren retires after 33 years of dedicated service to our school. She has had her hand in many aspects of our school's activities from working with sets and scenery for our "big shows," setting up Science Fair judging, support work in the office, coordinating our Annual Jack O Lantern Contest, assisting teachers in the classroom, and much more! Lucky for us, she will continue her popular after school Krafty Kids Club but will now also have time to spend with her family and pursue her passion in working with the underprivileged. She will always be an important part of our school family!
It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beloved friend, Ms. June Newell. Ms. Newell was the first teacher hired by Nell Cohen back in 1968, when she ran the Park Maitland School swimming program for nearly 30 years. She was a treasured gift to all who knew her. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this time, and we are grateful for the legacy she left behind.
Congratulations to our Zaner-Bloser National Handwriting Contest Winners!

Yearbook Ads are now on sale to ALL GRADES! January 25th is the final deadline to purchase your ad. We will be unable to accommodate orders after this date, so don't delay.

Due to inclement weather, the Grade 4 field trip to St. Augustine was rescheduled to Friday, February 1st.
On Tuesday, January 29th, we will be hosting our 2nd annual Vow of Silence for 3rd - 6th grade students. Students can participate by collecting pledges, OR donating $2.00 and wearing black tops with blue jeans/shorts.

K-4 - 2nd grade students are also welcome to participate in the $2.00 black shirt dress down day.

Of course students can choose not to participate at all if they do not wish to be involved.

Follow the link below for more information about this voluntary event.

Judges Needed!
