Our amazing school family has raised $2,600.00 from Vow of Silence, $950.00 from Congo Golf, and over $800.00 in donations to our Feeding Children Everywhere campaign. These funds added to our other fundraising efforts puts us at $8,900.00 total! This is more than enough to cover the cost of packaging and transporting the 25,000 meals we plan to package on February 13th. Thanks again for everyone being so involved in these worthy causes!
Valentine's Day parties are taking place on Wednesday, February 13th!

Students are encouraged to bring a card for each classmate. One non-food item may be attached to each card. Students may wear a red or pink top with jeans or uniform bottoms.

Message from the Security Manager:

Traffic Alert:
On February 5 th the FDOT will begin road work on 17-92 south bound lanes just north of our location. At this point we are not sure what effect it will have on our morning drop-off. Please be patient and allow a few extra minutes until you can determine how it will affect your travel.

Recently I have noticed several parents either picking up their students five minutes before carpool or staging in the Domino's parking lot prior to carpool. On Wednesday the manager of Domino's called and complained about all of our cars filling up their lot. Domino's has been a great neighbor, allowing us to park in their lot in the mornings before they are there and periodically throughout the day. This has helped us a great deal during our morning events including our plays. It seems we have been taking advantage of their kindness. If Domino's were to erect no parking signs we will not be allowed to park in their lot at any time without fear of being towed.

Please refrain from coming early to pick up your children. It creates several problems for our staff, school and our neighbors.

If you have any questions please feel free to email me at: jjohnson@parkmaitland.org or call (407) 647-3038 x248. Thank you in advance for your cooperation, and let's all work together to ensure the safety of the students, parents, faculty and staff of the Park Maitland School!

Jesse Johnson
Don't forget, February 13th is an early dismissal day for students!

Early Dismissal Day Times
All students will be dismissed after they have had lunch according to the following schedule:

K-4, Grades 1, 3, and 5 -- 11:35 a.m. - 12:00 p.m
Gate opens at 11:35 a.m. -- closes at 12:00 p.m.

K-5, Grades 2, 4, and 6 -- 12:13 p.m. - 12:45 p.m.
Gate opens at 12:13 p.m. -- closes at 12:45 p.m.

If you have a lunch "A" child that needs to go home after lunch "B," please send in a note to that effect. We will have supervision in the gym for those children.

AfterCare Options
You will have the option of picking up your child at the assigned early dismissal time, or they could go to our "Club Eagle AfterCare" program. "Club Eagle" will provide special child care for students who are not actively enrolled for only $15 per child. Simply contact Club Eagle by email at  aftercare@parkmaitland.org  or by calling  407.647.3038, ext. #159. Children who attend AfterCare regularly can follow their usual after school protocol.

Reminder: There will be no school on February 14th, 15th, and 18th.
Enjoy the long weekend!
