Dear Parents,
The elation from what has been an extraordinary lifetime memory in Washington D.C. permeates amongst the entire 6th grade class - parent chaperones included! We are so very proud of the outstanding manners, and articulate and engaging questions and responses given by our Super Seniors throughout each remarkable experience while in DC. Please enjoy the outstanding daily written narratives and podcasts written and created by our 6th grade students detailing their experience in D.C.!
(Journal entry #5 from the students last day in D.C. will be available to read on Saturday)
Don't forget to come out and celebrate our 6th-grade artwork with the mayor at Maitland City Hall this Monday night - details in news below.
Warmly,
Cindy Moon

VALENTINE'S CLASS PARTIES!
Valentine's Day parties are taking place on Wednesday, February 12th!
Students may wear pink/red or valentine themed shirts with jeans as they celebrate the festivities!
Please do not send individual “Goodie Bags” for friends. It is fine to bring cards with one small food or nonfood item attached.

PARENT CHAT
"Your Children and Money"
with Jessicas Reuss
|
Tuesday, February 25th
8:15 a.m.
Your financial life is about you, your family and your priorities. And, bringing up children with a strong understanding of the true value of money is something many parents feel is important. It is imperative to teach basic money management skills in progressive, age-appropriate intervals. But while instructing children on the basic mechanics of managing dollars and cents could be a one-time lesson, instilling your values about money should be an ongoing activity. Come join us for a parent chat regarding the desire to raise motivated and financially responsible children.

Our amazing school family has raised $959.00 from the Vow of Silence, $1,840 from our raffle and Congo Golf, and over $1707.00 from our Bahamas Dress down day. These funds, added to our other fundraising efforts, puts us at $8,409.00 total! This enough to cover the cost of packaging and transporting the 25,000 meals we plan to package on February 12th. Thanks again for everyone being so involved in these worthy causes!

- As always, please refrain from texting or using cell phones while in the carpool line.
