A Dress Code Reminder from Ms. Spillmann
Dear Parents,

With any luck, the worst of our winter weather has passed, and we will be back to Florida warmth soon.  Please pack away any coats, jackets, and/or sweatshirts that are not Park Maitland approved for school use.  It appears we can get back to the school approved fleece. In all grades, we have noticed that many students have become lax in the school dress code. Especially in the Spring, our campus is full of visitors and it is a Park Maitland tradition to always put our best foot forward; this includes following the dress code and looking our best. Please think about the details such as:

  • Socks: please remember "crazier" socks are for Fridays!
  • Belts: Please refer to dresscode in the Handbook for guidelines, but any pant or short with loops requires a belt in grades 3-6.
  • This is the time of year that students are often outgrowing clothes with pants and shorts becoming too short or tight and shirttails constantly coming untucked. Please consider purchasing any needed wardrobe items.

Anything parents can do to help set up their child for school success is always welcome and appreciated, and this is no different. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Very Warmly,
Davina Spillmann
Dean of Students and Faculty
With recent cold weather changes, more items are finding their way to our lost and found every day. Please help our students be proactive in keeping track of their personal items throughout the day. All outer wear should be labeled for easy identification. If you are currently missing any items, please encourage your child to stop by our lost and found.
If you come upon a Williamsburg costume taking up space in your closet, please consider donating it to Park Maitland for future classes to use!
We currently have collected over 30+ costumes and are hoping to increase this number before next year's trip with the eventual goal of having plenty of costumes for each year from which to borrow!  Both adult and child costumes are being collected. If you would like to donate your costume, please drop it off at the front desk!
