This month at Park Maitland we will be focusing on Habit #4:
"Think Win-Win"

“What do we live for, if it is not to make life less difficult for each other?” ‒ George Eliot

Our 6th-grade charity car wash event is taking place on:

Wednesday, March 14th
4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
(Gates will close at 5:30 p.m.)

This year our charity car wash winner is  Lily Larson , who spoke on behalf of the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida. The Boys and Girls Club is known nationally for providing a fun, safe and constructive environment for kids and teens during out-of-school hours. They offer programs and services to help young people succeed in school, develop leadership skills, and maintain healthy lifestyles.
It has been brought to our attention that many of our students have been bringing juice and sports drinks to school in their water bottles. Please help us address this concern by making sure water bottles only come to school with fresh water. We do ask parents to please help children be mindful of the necessity to bring water bottles to school, as we do provide fresh water througout the school campus in big water bottles or water fountains. Students move often and bottles get lost easily, spill in tote or book bags and don't always get used.  We appreciate your help to ensure that all Park Maitland students remain hydrated, refreshed, and ready to focus each day!
We have had quite the week here at Park Maitland! From shows to field trips to celebrating family across generations...
Check out the highlights below!
CONGRATULATIONS to our 5th and 6th grade boys basketball teams on an outstanding season!
Our 6th-grade boys finished the season strong, landing in 2nd place following the championship game, and our 5th-grade boys brought home the championship trophy!
We held a pep-rally on Thursday to celebrate both teams and their outstanding accomplishment...
THANK YOU to Mr. Kohn and Mr. Davis for their passionate and motivating coaching!
Our K4 students blew us all away with their outstanding performance of
The Three Nanny Goats Gruff!
It was so wonderful sharing a fun filled day with our Park Maitland family at this years annual school picnic. The weather (and the company) could not have been better. Congratulations again to all of our lucky raffle winners!

Across Generations
Congratulations to Ms. Johnson and Ms. Berzovich for a truly spectacular event. Our 2nd grade students were so proud to welcome their special VIPs and share their stories!
And we offer a very special thanks to Ms. Tongson, and her business FarmGal Flowers , for donating the beautiful floral center pieces for this event!
Our 3rd-grade students SHINED as they presented their books to teachers and classmates during our Author's Tea event. Each student was able to select a passage from their book to share with their teachers and classmates.

We were also so excited to welcome Jeanie Fitchen, a Florida folk singer, children’s author, songwriter, and our very own Cindy Moon’s sister, to present to our 3rd-grade class.

Thank you, Ms. Fitchen!
Our 6th-grade class had a GREAT time on their Medieval Times
field trip!
Our 2nd-grade Park Maitland Destination Imagination team competed at the Regional Competition on Saturday! Their challenge was to show two cultures coming together and working together for a common purpose. The team showed two Egyptian princesses meeting two Danish Vikings, as they worked together to find some hidden treasure. They worked all year to research their cultures, write a play, make costumes, props, and scenery.
The team did an amazing job!

Our own Ms. Lin is looking for a new home for her 7-year-old female cat, Meeko. Meeko has been with the Lin family since she was a kitten, however Ms. Lin's daughters are incredibly allergic to her! She is affectionate and sweet, but shy at the beginning. She's not used to being around other animals, but is very good with kids and adults. Meeko is an indoor cat.

Please contact Ms. Lin ( for more information.

Calling all Park Maitland Enthusiasts!

We are looking for parents to help plan our 50th year festivities. If you are interested in any aspect of possible involvement in planning our 50th anniversary, we would love to hear from you. Please take a moment to fill out the attached Google Form indicating your interests. There will be a variety of events throughout the next school year and we need your help to make sure each one is a memorable and special event.

With recent weather fluctuations, we are still having trouble with children taking off their jackets and sweaters and leaving them around campus. We are also collecting quite a few water bottles and other personal items as well.

We will be cleaning out our lost and found over spring break. If you know your child is missing any personal items please be sure to remind them to stop by and check. We will also be asking homeroom teachers to take their class by lost & found over the next week to look for lost items.
We appreciate your help in keeping our lost and found as clear as possible!
