Monday April 25th (K5 - 3rd Grade), we will be celebrating and honoring this amazing planet we call home by hosting an Earth Maker Day. lt will be a school-wide event with the goal of planting seeds and setting off a rippling effect across our student body and local community! Students will take part in designing and making activities throughout the day to both create awareness, and also develop better practices and solutions that can be applied at school and beyond!
We need your help!
As we prepare for this amazing day, and a greener future, we need your help! To support many of the activities taking place around campus on Earth Maker Day, we are in need of both supplies for students to use during their design and makes, as well as volunteers to help support the projects students are working on.
Seeking Materials
Please take some time and see if you have any of these materials you could donate:
Recyclables: clean bottles, bags, paper, etc.
Old clothes, fabrics, ribbon, and textiles
Odd-end materials and left-over parts (zippers, brackets, washers, handles, packaging, and anything else that can be upcycled and repurposed)
These materials will be used for upcycling and repurposing projects. Starting Monday April 4th, through Thursday April 21st, we will have bins at drop off where students can drop these items off.
Seeking Volunteers
Have Maker Skills? We are looking for a few parent volunteers for our Earth Maker Day Events. Our K5-3 grade event is on April 25, and you can sign up here.
We appreciate your support on this journey for a better tomorrow! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
