DECA Crushes the Competition at Districts | |
Park Tudor DECA recently traveled to Brownsburg High School to participate in the District business competition. All 60 members of the club have advanced to the state competition (SCDC) in March. Park Tudor took home 1st place medals in more than 50% of the competition categories, along with many other awards. Let's wish them the best of luck as they prepare for the state competition in March!

The Artisan Wins Highest Honor for Recognizing Excellence in Art and Literary Magazines (REALM) contest | |
The 2023 edition of The Artisan has been recognized as a REALM First Class magazine by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). Congratulations to Faculty Editor Laura Gellin, the contributing writers and artists of the US student body, the Artisan staff, Editorial Board, and Senior Editors Wyatt Painter '23 and Mercy Andreae '23 for their dedication and hard work.
This year, schools in 46 states and five countries nominated 375 student magazines. Magazines from middle school, high school, and higher education were welcomed for the 2023 contest. 108 magazines were awarded the contest’s highest distinction, REALM First Class.
The REALM program publicly recognizes excellent literary magazines produced by students with the support of their teachers. REALM is designed to encourage all schools to develop literary magazines that celebrate the art and craft of writing. Schools in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, US territories, Canada, and American schools abroad are eligible to nominate magazines.

Seniors Travel to The Hague | |
Twenty-nine seniors traveled to The Hague, in The Netherlands, to compete as international diplomats in the 56th annual session of The Hague International Model United Nations. The students conferenced with 4000 students from 100 nations, and toured Amsterdam and The Hague. | |
* Senior Charlie Bolton recently broke the USAPL Indiana State Record for Deadlift in the Teen 2 Division in the 100 Kilogram weight class by successfully deadlifting 540 lbs (245KG). He beat the previous record on all three deadlift attempts and broke the previous record by 80 pounds.

* Junior Maddie Xu recently participated as a cellist in the Indiana All-State Orchestra at the Grand Wayne Convention Center in Fort Wayne from January 11-13. A total of 12 cellists were selected across the state of Indiana based on audition submissions to rehearse advanced pieces in a symphony orchestra and perform for friends and family.

Hockey: The Central Indiana Knights Hockey team, which is comprised of players from Park Tudor, Cathedral, and Guerin High School, will square off against the Braves from Brebeuf Jesuit on Saturday. This is a special day as it is also Senior Day for the Knights and Park Tudor senior Jackson Shanks will be recognized prior to the game. The recognition of seniors will take place at 3:00 p.m. and game time is set for 3:30 at the Fuel Tank in Fishers.
Girls Basketball: The girls basketball team will host the Tigers from Crispus Attucks High School this evening at Park Tudor; JV is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. and will be followed by the varsity at 7:30. The team will travel to Heritage Christian tomorrow for a JV and varsity contest. The team will play their final regular season game on Monday, January 29 at Arsenal Tech for a varsity-only contest at 6:00 p.m. The team will then begin IHSAA Sectional play on Friday, February 2 here at Park Tudor; they will take on the Blackhawks in the first round of the Sectional at 6:00 p.m. Since this is an IHSAA tournament event, everyone must purchase a ticket to attend; tickets are $7.00 and can be purchased at the door.
Boys Basketball: The boys basketball team will be on the road this evening at Cardinal Ritter, taking on the Raiders. The JV White game will start at 4:30 p.m., which will be followed by the JV at 6:00 and the varsity at 7:30. They will then take on the Gryphons from ISI next Thursday February 1 in a varsity-only contest here at Park Tudor at 6:00 p.m. On Saturday, February 3, the team will host the Braves from Brebeuf Jesuit in a matinee game with the JV starting at 1:00 p.m. and the varsity at 2:30.
Swimming and Diving: The boys and girls swimming and diving team traveled to Pike High School last Tuesday, January 16, to compete in a tri-meet with both Pike High School and Covenant Christian High School. Results from the meet are listed below. The IHSAA girls swimming Sectional is quickly approaching and will be held at Pike High School. The prelims will be on Thursday, February 1, and the finals will be on Saturday, February 3. The boys Sectional will take place on Thursday, February 15 and Saturday, February 17, at Decatur Central High School.
