Field Center Design Feedback

Want to see what the new Field Center could look like? From ultra-modern to Prairie-inspired designs, we received 26 unique submissions for the renovation of the Field Center, and now we need your feedback!

Come view the submissions from April 26 to May 5, and tell us what you think. Our jurors will review community feedback as they determine finalists. This is your opportunity to shape the future of our Field Center!

Pool Pass Sale Ending Apr 30

Daily admission to the pool without a pass is $15, so a pool pass pays for itself in just 4 visits for Oak Park residents! Plus, passholders get access to great perks including special passholder swim times and discounted guest passes.

Outdoor AEDs

Now available in parks

Now that the weather has warmed up, Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) have been reinstalled in our parks on the exterior walls of bathrooms and buildings. To see the locations of all AEDs, outdoor and indoor, please click the link below.

Plus, most water fountains and outdoor comfort stations are now available for public use.

Dog Etiquette

We love seeing lots of furry friends out enjoying the warm weather!

Remember, all dogs must be leashed when walking in our parks. For off-leash fun, please visit one of our designated dog parks. Click the button below to secure your dog park pass.

Please pick up after your dogs. Help us ensure that everyone can enjoy clean outdoor spaces... and that no children end up accidentally covered in doggie discard.

Spring Reading: The Droll

The Park District of Oak Park is proud to partner with Oak Park Festival Theatre to present a reading of The Droll, Or a Stage-Play About the End of the Theatre by Meg Miroshnik.

This play tells the story of Nim Dullyn, a fourteen-year-old member of an underground theatrical group on the run from the Puritans.

Tickets include hors d'ouervres and drinks in the beautiful Pleasant Home. Following the reading, enjoy community dialogue with the actors and artistic director.

Good Life Race

OPRF High School

The annual Good Life Race presented by the Oak Park Runners Club is Sunday, April 28th! This family-friendly event includes a 5K, Youth Mile (ages 12 and under), and Junior Dash (ages 6 and under).

In addition to the races, there will be entertainment from the Oak Park and River Forest High School Marching Huskies Drumline, Gwendolyn Brooks Middle School Band, and Jesse White Tumblers. A portion of the proceeds will go toward Housing Forward, an organization working towards ending homelessness.
