Parkade E-News
When a tree is transplanted there is great hope that it will flourish and thrive in its new location. Yet there are some reasons why a newly planted tree may not flourish and thrive. This Sunday we will continue the sermon series, "Rooted in Christ: Growing Deeper, Living Stronger." We will consider the kind of conditions that need to be a part of our life in order to grow and become all that God created us to be. We will be in Colossians 2:6-15. We hope you will join us in person or online.

Doing Life Together as Teens
On Sunday mornings, Shelly Crawford and Kristy Dennis lead our teens in a small group Bible Study. They are using RightNow Media and have approximately 10 to 12 young people. We are currently searching for a Pastor of Discipleship and Student Ministry who will oversee and develop this ministry. Please continue to pray for the search process.
Youth & Children Fall Festival Event
The Children and Youth Ministries are having a joint Fall Festival Event on Friday, October 29 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Adults are needed to help and dress in costume for the event. Donations of desserts, soft drinks, and candy are also needed.

Please sign-up in the Welcome Center to donate items or volunteer. Contact Shelly Crawford, Kristy Dennis, or Christy Winston for more information.
Operation Christmas Child - Countdown to Collection
As we count down to Parkade’s OCC Packing Party on November 14th, we are still collecting toys. This week, there will be a prayer bookmark inside your worship bulletin to guide you in praying for OCC.

If you are packing a shoebox gift, please remember that your shoebox may be the only gift a child receives. So plan to pack quality items that will last.
Free boxes are located in the Welcome Center next to the Operation Christmas Child table on display. There are brochures with helpful information for the shoebox, but the brochure also contains a QR code you can scan with the camera on your phone that will bring you to a website to purchase a label online.
For more information, please contact Roberta Collins.
Milk Bottle Collection
The Women On Mission are planning to collect milk bottles for the Global Mobility ministry on Sunday, October 31. Please remember that this collection is only on the 5th Sunday. Clean, dry milk bottles with lids are needed.

Please look for the designated collection vehicles outside the Welcome Center to drop off your jugs. For more information, contact Cathy Sanders.
