Parkade E-News
Sunday, January 23, 2022
This Sunday, Pastor Chris begins a new sermon series out of the Old Testament book of Nehemiah. The story of Nehemiah is a story of brokenness and rebuilding. Nehemiah's faithful act of organizing the people of God to rebuild the walls around Jerusalem inspire us today to look around and be willing to step out in faith and join God in rebuilding what has been broken. We will look this Sunday at Nehemiah 1:1-11. Join in person or online.

Laura Miller has volunteered to help us restart Wednesday Night Fellowship Dinners again. As we restart this Wednesday night tradition, we will start by inviting everyone to bring their own bagged meal. The church will provide tea, lemonade, and water.

The next planned Wednesday Night Fellowship Dinner is Wednesday, January 26 at 5:30 pm in the fellowship hall.  Please see Laura Miller if you are interested in helping me with this.
In the next couple of the months, the Nominating Committee will be working to recruit volunteers to serve in various positions and committees for the new church year which begins on June 1, 2022. If you are asked to consider serving in a position, please take the time to learn about the position and pray before making a commitment. In the upcoming weeks, the committee hopes to share more information about the positions they are trying to fill. Members of the committee include Charlotte White, Bob Giboney, Larry Purvis, David Holly and Rick Sanders. Please pray for this committee as they begin their work.
Winter Blessing Box Needs
With the cold temperatures and the snow there has been an increase in the use of the Blessing Box. It is not unusual to visit the box and find it totally empty. So we know we are helping to meet some of the needs of people in our community. Thank you to all of you that have donated items to stock the box. At the present time we can only use items that will not be adversely affected by the freezing temperatures. If you want to make a monetary donation, make the donation to the church designated for the Blessing Box.

Items needed:
     Tooth paste
      Instant potatoes/ gravy mixes
      Minute rice
      Peanut butter
      Instant coffee packets/ tea bags
      Pasta/ noodles

Please donated items in room S166.
