We are pleased to inform you that the City of Kitchener has completed an assessment of parking on King Street. The bollards that were in place this year have been removed wherever possible. Consideration had to be made for fire hydrants and other emergencies.

The City has advised the BIA that signs are up indicating 15 minutes and 2 hour free parking.

This was in response to membership feedback/concern regarding colder weather and more curb-side pick up business. As patios are dismantled there will be potential to remove more bollards, again where possible.

We wanted to pass this information on so you can let your customers know as soon as possible.
Thank you to those who have taken the time to meet with our Digital Service Squad already! We want to make sure you can put some faces to the names of our Experts who are working in your BIA. To those that we haven’t met with yet, we hope that there’s a time in the near future that we can introduce our Experts to you.
