Santa Claus is Coming to Town!


Deerfield Township is excited to invite you and your family to our annual Santa’s Workshop, a magical event designed especially for children and parents! This free holiday celebration is exclusively for Deerfield Township residents and will be a wonderful way to kick off the festivities of the holiday season.


Santa’s Workshop is packed with activities that will keep little ones engaged and excited. Kids can explore a variety of craft stations where they’ll create holiday masterpieces. There’s also a delightful holiday cookie decorating station where children can design their very own sweet treats!


And what would Santa’s Workshop be without Santa himself? Be sure to bring your cameras to capture special memories as your little ones share their holiday wishes with Santa Claus!

2025 Community Garden Registration is now Open!


Calling all local green thumbs! Deerfield Township is excited to announce that registration for the 2025 Community Garden plots is now open. Residents can secure a garden space at either Kingswood Park or Carter Park to grow their own vegetables, flowers, and herbs, fostering a sense of community and sustainability. All plots are 4x4 raised garden beds, and this is a fantastic opportunity for gardeners of all experience levels to cultivate fresh produce while enjoying the outdoors. Spaces are limited and fill up quickly, so be sure to register early to guarantee your spot!

Deerfield's New Programming Made Possible with Alzheimer's Association


Deerfield Township is excited to announce a new partnership with the Alzheimer's Association to bring important resources and programming to the community. This collaboration will offer educational workshops, support groups, and memory care services aimed at assisting individuals, their caregivers, and families affected by Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

Toddler Storytime

November 8, 10 - 10:30 AM


Deerfield Township is thrilled to introduce Toddler Storytime, a new program at the Kingswood Activity Center. Storytime will include interactive storytelling, crafts, and movement activities to captivate toddlers' imaginations and promote early literacy.


This months story and activities are all about Thanksgiving fun. Parents and caregivers are invited to bring their little ones for an enjoyable morning of learning and play.

Paint Your Own Pottery

November 7, 6:30 - 8 PM


Deerfield Township is excited to once again partner with Star Glazers to bring a night of fun the whole family can enjoy together! Each participant will choose the pottery piece they would like to paint from a diverse selection brought by Star Glazers. Registration fee covers the studio fee, and participants will pay for their piece of pottery at the event. Your finished piece will be glazed and fired, and available for pickup at the Township administrative offices within two weeks. Your finished piece could be a perfect holiday gift! Creative Kids Club

November 9, 10 - 11:30 AM


Deerfield Township, in partnership with Terri Riddle Art and The Arts Alliance, is excited to offer Creative Kids Club, an program designed to inspire young artists in the community. This club will offer hands-on art classes where children can explore their creativity through a variety of mediums, including painting, drawing, and quilling. Led by professional artist Terri Riddle, the program will encourage self-expression, and foster a love for the arts in a fun and supportive environment. The Creative Kids Club is a fantastic opportunity for children to develop their artistic talents while engaging with their peers in Deerfield Township.

Invasive Species Removal

November 10, 9 - 12 PM


The Ohio River Foundation (ORF) continues its vital work with Deerfield Township to restore and maintain the ecosystem of Kingswood Park. This ongoing effort has already led to the removal of harmful invasive species across acres of land, as well as the planting of dozens of native trees.

This ambitious project relies on the support of generous community members who are willing to donate their time to help keep Deerfield beautiful. Boo! Trick or Treat is here!


Deerfield Township Trustees have designated October 31 from 6 - 8 pm as official Trick or Treating times within the township. Individual neighborhood HOA's have the ability to set their own times, so please check with them to confirm. Please slow down and look out for little ghouls and goblins filling their candy buckets. Happy Halloween!
