Cottell Park Courts are OPEN!

One of the top requests received by the parks department was resurfacing of the basketball and tennis courts at Cottell Park, and the need for more pickleball courts in the township. GREAT NEWS! The courts resurfacing is complete, and we are proud to announce there are four dedicated pickleball courts. Township trustees celebrated this milestone with a Grand Re-Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony, complete with pickleball and tennis ball cookies. Courts are open and available for use during regular park hours. Fleckenstein courts are next, scheduled to get a makeover in 2024. Grab your paddle, racquet, or basketball, and we will see you on the courts!

NEW: Teen Event coming in December

Have a bored teen looking to hang out, make new friends, and have an evening out of the house? We've got the perfect night planned for them! Winter Wingding will be a night of pizza, yummy snacks, life size games, a DIY Hot Cocoa kit, and more! This event will be at the Kingswood Activity Center on 12/14 from 6 - 8 pm. Open to teens in grades 9 - 12. Registration is open now!

Keep Your Mind Sharp!

Socialization and intellectual engagement are important components of keeping your brain healthy. Satisfy both of those with a free, fun 4- week series involving interactive puzzles and games lead by Laura Stanton, of OSU Warren County extension. Give your brain a great workout with the added benefit of getting to know others in your community!

Creative Kids Club

December 2, 2 - 4 PM, Cottell Park Bungalow

This month's Creative Kids Club is sure to send your little ones holiday spirit soaring! Under the direction of instructor Terri Riddle, each child will make a whimsical canvas themed "Jolly Santa". Creativity will be flowing while learning proper painting techniques and terminology. Children ages 6 - 12 are invited to join.

Paint-Your-Own Pottery

November 30, 6:30 - 8 PM, Snyder House

Paint-Your-Own Pottery is a wonderful activity for everyone in the family, from ages 3 - 103! And it's a great way to make a unique holiday gift for a loved one. Star Glazers will provide a large variety of pottery pieces to choose from, as well as all other necessary supplies.

Create a work of art that will bring your family joy for years to come, as well a night full of special memories.

Holiday Lights: Free Community Event

November 25, 5 - 7 pm, Deerfield Towne Center

Deerfield Township has partnered with Deerfield Towne Center for the return of the annual winter celebration, Holiday Lights! Bring the whole family for a night of FREE entertainment, including inflatables, live reindeer, iceless skating rink, train rides and more! The winners of the Name the Snowplow contest will be announced also. Santa will arrive on a Deerfield Township fire truck, and will be available for photos and, of course, will listen to the children's holiday wishes!
