DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS
Summer Program Registration
It is hard to believe, but summer is right around the corner, and registration for all Parks & Recreation summer programs is opening soon. Registration for all summer Youth and Senior programs will open on Monday, April 1 at 7:30 AM. This includes Adventure Bound Summer Camps, ASSET Camps, and all 2019 Seniors Programs. Spaces are limited and will fill up quickly.
Summer Recreation Guide
The updated Summer Recreation Guide is now available online! This comprehensive guide provides a great snapshot of the numerous camps, programs, events, and unique volunteer opportunities available this summer. The online guide is easy to navigate and includes direct links to info and additional content on our website. We hope to see you this summer.
West Lincoln Park Update
On March 3, City Council approved up to $150,000 in funding for the development and installation of a playground structure in West Lincoln Park. The process will include close collaboration with Steamboat Creates to identify what playground amenities the community would like to see in the park, as well as an RFP process to determine which playground proposal best fits that vision.
Mineral Springs Walking Tours
Our area boasts over 100 mineral springs, many of which are located right downtown. The Tread of Pioneers Museum, along with Yampatika, offer exciting Mineral Springs Walking Tours throughout the year. Self guided tours are also an option. Visit the Tread of Pioneers Museum or Parks & Recreation office for a tour brochure, or explore the new interactive map online.
